  1. Hi I stumbled upon your blog about using the contiki guides and really enjoyed reading your experience. I was curious though if you knew the people you traveled with or if you traveled alone and was put into a group?

I am wanting to travel solo but in a group and don't want to be the only one without a friend or boy haha. Any input?\

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Chelsie! Thanks and I went with my cousin, but there were quite a few solo travelers (probably about more than half the people on the trip were solo travelers) and everyone got along splendidly, some people stayed to themselves and others quickly became new friends and went off in their own groups. So I definitely wouldn't worry at all if you plan on going solo.

      Hope that helps!

  2. Scotland has been a magical place for me on several trips. Like stumbling across a Viking grave in a small kirk graveyard on Loch Lomond – goosepimple moment. I’ve been north into the islands – Skye, Lewis, Harris, Orkney… also several trips to Iona. Loved them all! Especially finding graffiti actually made by my Viking ancestors in a passage tomb in Orkney. Would love to get to Shetland someday too. Thank you for this post!
