Mysteryland USA - Shot for the Times Herald-Record

Memorial Day Weekend at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, brought mainly 20 somethings and a handful of old hippies looking to re experience the groundbreaking three days of love and peace shared at the 1969 Woodstock Music and Arts festival that happened on the same hallowed grounds. This time around there wouldn't be artists like the legendary Jimi Hendrix taking the stage creating a wave of live music over the western Catskills.  This time electronic dance music (EDM) would be thumping through the air as the millennial generation, some scantily clad, others with face painted in the style of Dio Del Muertos' La Catrina and more costumed up in internet memes and 80's nostalgia, danced the night away.

I was fortunate enough to be able to cover this event for the Times Herald-Record, although EDM isn't really my cup of tea, the laid back vibe and fantastic people mixed in with the flare of the event made it all worth it, rain and all. As a result the amount of photos I took was unreal for the three days that I was there. So as a result I decided to share just a few favorites from my coverage of Mysteryland USA.
